Did you know that Mount Bethel’s history began in the early 1700’s? The La Bar brothers were amongst the first settlers. Peter, Charles and Abraham La Bar immigrated from France before 1730. They established a settlement about a half mile southwest of Slateford. Over 300 years later this town continues to grow.
