Moscow Music Academy (formerly GTR Music Studio), makes music fun for children and adults all year round! We offer piano, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, music theory lessons and more for all ages. Director Michelle Karel-Ward has been teaching in the Moscow, ID area since completing her masters in guitar performance from the Lionel Hampton School of Music in 1991. She has experience with many different ages and skill levels, and has worked with special needs individuals and international students. At the Academy, students are encouraged to be creative and find their style. We hold optional student showcases twice a year to provide motivation and teach performing skills. At Moscow Music Academy we teach the most popular instruments (guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, drums, recorder, and voice) in a fun one-on-one environment. Instruction in music fundamentals, theory, and composition is also available. We offer music lessons to students aged five through adult - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Never had a music lesson? That's okay, we work with lots of beginning students too! All students here also enjoy our unique and licensed achievement rewards programthat has a proven track record for helping students get and stay focused on and excited about music. Our teachers strive to make each music lesson fun and interactive, using various media and teaching tools to promote progress. Their love and passion for music are contagious. What a terrific music school: well organized, gifted and excellent teachers, attention to the kids' interests, well planned out growth path for kids, periodic concerts and show of talents events - I could go on and on. Our teacher was Scott, and my son enjoyed every lesson with him. Scott is a talented musician and a talented teacher simultaneously. He is a very inspiring, thorough and a gentle teacher. When my son wanted to sing in addition to playing piano, Scott took out the time to find an excellent set of songs that were liked by my son and fit my son's vocal capabilities and skill level. This developed even more of my son's interest, confidence, and talent. Scott strikes a special accord with kids somehow. My son says Scott is the best teacher - thank you, Scott, so very much. We had to move to another state and we miss Scott and all of the teachers in Moscow Music Academy very much. Thank you Scott, Michelle, Emma, and everybody at MMA for your dedication, leadership, talent, and willingness to teach such a wonderful subject - a gift really - as music.

This saves our students time and money as one family can take multiple instruments on the same day. Adults: It's NEVER too late to learn how to play! We welcome all beginners and all levels - no matter what your age! Teaching excellence in the Moscow, Pullman and surrounding communities since 1993. You'll enjoy learning from our teachers who are excited about sharing their love and knowledge of music providing quality instruction customized to the needs and goals of all our students. All of our teachers have either university training, years of professional performance experience or both. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities and are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn. Our teachers are committed to making your music education a well-rounded experience that focuses on developing proper instrument technique and strong musicianship skills in the context of good old fashioned FUN! A wide rage of lesson times are available. We will work with you to set up a convenient lesson time. We offer lessons year round. Lessons are month to month so you never have to worry about semester long commitments. Our full time mission is teaching music. Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for lessons including amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, piano and more. All you need to bring is your instrument, iPod/Zune, CDs and music and assignment notebook. we are located conveniently in downtown Moscow, ID. Because of its central location, our studio is convenient to all areas of Moscow. Close to our studio you will find great shopping, dining, and other wonderful locally owned businesses.
