Provided by YP.comTotally a money making scam. We took our childfor a couple of years. Had to not only pay monthly minimum of around $90.00, and buy uniform. Every time they test to another belt it is an additional fee if they do not pass they have to retest and you have to pay the fee for testing every single time. They wanted him in "The Black Belt Club." It ended up being more expensive monthly, had to buy him a bunch of padding/equipment costing an additional $400.00. All they do is teach "forms." It is mostly for show and for parent's who have money to pay for different belts, certificates. It is not traditional martial arts by any stretch of the imagination. The reason why we kept him in is because after the initial "free" classes they make you sign a contract. I would say we spent easily close to if not more than $3,000. He learned nothing except silly forms. So, if you are looking for some real physical activity this is not where I would spend your money.

Provided by SuperpagesI began taking classes at Casey's ATA Black Belt Academy shortly after moving to Morgantown in Nov. of 2008. I was looking for a fitness activity to replace my fencing school back in San Diego. Taekwondo seemed to have several similar qualities.I had no real exposure to oriental Martial Arts except for the typical movie and television show cliches. I hoped to find a focus on dedication, discipline and self-improvement... nor was I disappointed. But Casey's has exceeded those basic expectations.Casey's has a tangible focus on the emotional health of it's students. They aren't simply teaching kicks and punches, they are teaching honor and confidence. The atmosphere is extremely family-friendly, but they also do not shy away from the realities of competition, as shown by the tournament successes of the student body. It's clear that this is a vocation for the Casey's, not a job. I've found friends and achievement at Casey's ATA, and I endorse them without reservation.
