I would suggest a year round leash law along with the stipulation the dog has to be under the direct control & supervision of its owner. I've had Doberman Pinshers since 1976 & always have them in the fenced yard, on a leash or under my direct supervision & control. I've never had one attack or bite anyone. I respect peoples fear of the breed.

theses dogs are family members and some are helping special needs this is wrong to take them away judging by breeds is wrong you should meet them watch as they help others if you can murder them you have a bunch of really coldhearted people you not only destroy them but you destroy the family they are part of

I really don't agree with the breed selection such as you're planning to do. I believe it is the human who trains the dog that is responsible for their behavior. Having said this I will tell you that the top 5 aggressive dogs ( in order of aggressiveness) is 1) the Caucasian Ovchanka, 2) The Pitbull 3) The German Shepard) 4) is the Rottweiler 5) is Alaskan Malamutes. So between the Pitbull and the Rottweiler is the German Shepard so

I was wondering do you still hang black people down there in your village just because they are black...since you want to kill dogs just because of their breed...what keeps you from going a step further....God forbid if you find any gay people in your little village...What will you do then pull out the water torture...and someone need to tell that idiot Penn Lemoine that his German Shepard is on the Vicious Dog List. I find that very interesting that one of your head people has a dog on that list but some how that dog wasn't one of the ones chosen. How do you only pick certain breeds from a Vicious dog list. I find it very interesting that his dog won't be pulled away from his family and killed. But isn't that what Government is all about. What a horrible horrible little town that you would do this to families. That you would not take the time and STOP being so damn lazy and asses each dog on its own action and not a blanket assessment of the breeds. You all should be ashamed of yourself.

Perhaps it's easier for people like you to pass blanket legislation than it is to THINK. Most pit bulls and rottweilers are great dogs. Don't stereotype breeds. Punish the deed, not the breed.

As a retired Los Angeles City attorney I am very disturbed to find your town has enacted legislation that is both illegal and unconstitutional banning breed specific animals. Your town will not only hand to pay for the animals you have killed but will have to fund extremely costly defense legislation. Since it appears that Alderman Lemoine is lead on this project, a conference with your city attorney appears long overdue. Please do not underestimate those who are disgusted and appalled with your actions.

So, let me see if I understand this. You've arbitrarily decided, without any basis in fact, that two breeds are "vicious" because some residents of the Village have decided they don't like them? First of all, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and I feel dumber after having read about it. I was made aware of actions this town in undertaking to eliminate all pit bull and rotties from this town. If the families don't remove them, the town will take them and put them to sleep. How can a town take all of people's pets?? I am looking for a petition to sign and make the whole country, if not the world aware of this towns management. This has to be stopped. What is next, just anything they don't 'like'?

BSL? While other states are recognizing that BSL is inhumane and doesn't work, your city decides to enact an ordinance to kill family dogs with responsible owners, rather than have your animal control officers rescue strays and place them in loving responsible homes.

How shameful that the village would take away a family's beloved pet, a dog that has never caused harm, only because some residents have complained about other dogs running loose. Shame on you Moreauville! Catch the loose dogs and hold the reckless owners accountable.

I have become aware of this cities new ordinance against Pit Bulls and Rottweilers. Are you people kidding me? These are innocent family pets! Take your blinders off people! This is the 21st century! Is it really possible that your city leaders are this uneducated? If you are that blood thirsty, track down monsters who beat them and break them - forcing them to fight! Our world is full of monsters the likes of Michael Vick - murder them! Pit Bulls and Rotties are not born vicious! Humans turn them for their own selfish financial gain. They are cowards, I implore you not to join the ranks of such evil! God is watching you, and the entire nation will be watching you as well, as there are hundreds upon thousands of animal advocates across the country ready to expose your community for your cowardice acts! Who in their right mind will ever want to live in a city where their own property, their beloved family pets can be confiscated and murdered!
