I have had several vacuums but Kirby is by far the best in every way. It never looses suction or power. I use it for dusting, shampooing carpets, cleaning out the dryer vent, vacuuming carpets, you name it. I haven't used it for painting, but that's next :). It performs great every time. I recommend this vacuum to anyone and I give it the highest rating possible.

TJ Young came back out to demonstrate how the Kirby Avalir2 works. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and polite. I'm pleased with the unit as a vacuum cleaner. However, the shampoo function leaves a lot to be desired. As such, I will continue to use my Hoover carpet shampooer. Ít's far superior to the one on the Avalir2.
