The folks at Dogs by Andy are absolutely amazing. The results were worth every penny spent and then some. I took my dog, Layla through their off-leash obedience training at their location, and couldn't be happier with the results.



First off, the dog training is not only about training the dog, but also the owner. The staff there was so incredibly patient while working with both Layla and me (I needed more training than she did).



Next, I love the fact that I can give commands to Layla that she will obey when needed (sit, stay, down, place, etc.), but then be able to tell her 'Free Dog' so that she can run around, play and act like a normal puppy.



I was on the fence as to how I felt exactly about the e-collars prior to working with Dogs by Andy. Now, I am a firm believer - with the proper use, this is something that I will never have a dog without.



Their follow up is also amazing - the guarantee really is a guarantee! Long after training was completed, I had a question and received a call back within less than 24 hours, with their great advice. If you're looking for a dog trainer, look no further - Dogs by Andy are second to none and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you to Andy and your wonderful staff!

Love the results! My GSD was with them for the 3 week training and we couldnt be happier.They kept me up to date on his progress and posted pics of him on their fb page. He is fantastic in public and no longer chases our cats around our home. We love that we can take him anywhere now and now that he wont get into trouble. We highly recommend dogs by Andy.

I rescued a Pitt mix who came from an abusive home, and Dogs By Andy was WONDERFUL in getting his confidence up, training him fully, and making him a well rounded dog! When i got my dog:



-he was uncontrollable on the leash

-was petrified of getting in his crate

-would not get in the car

-could not be trusted off leash

-could not be trusted around other dogs



NOW, thanks to Andy and his awesome staff,



-My dog is fully off-leash trained and can be walked loose-leash easily!

-he is secure and comfortable in his crate

-he listens and rides great in the car

-he does not growel at other dogs, and simply ignores them while we are out for walks.



Andy is a great guy who really knows what he is doing, just trust him - you won't be disappointed!!

I am so thankful to Andy and everyone at Dogs by Andy for everything they have done for me and my new dog. When I got him he was more of a handful than I knew what to do with. I immediately thought of Andy because I had always heard amazing things about him. I went up and met with him and John and right away I felt myself being put at ease. I knew that they understood my concerns and that they were going to help me fix them. Ten short weeks later my dog has been completely transformed into a dog that i am proud and comfortable to take anywhere. I am comfortable walking him around Birkdale, in and out of the stores, all without a leash. He sits and waits patiently for me right inside the doors and everyone now knows him as the "birkdale security!" I was so pleased with everything Andy did for me and in the short time that he did it. We are now advancing our training into the protection area. I am very excited to see where we go from here.

I have relied on Andy for more than just training. He is my go-to guy for all things concerning dogs. He has helped me with diet, supplements, aches and pains. Every time i call or email, he responds back right away and is always willing to help. That means more to me than anything. You always want to know that you are doing what is best for your dog and with someone like Andy behind me, I can always be assured that I am getting the expertise I need.



I recommend using Andy. I tell everyone I meet how amazing he is and how remarkable his training is. He has turned my dog into something of beauty and grace.

Last July I purchased a female Malinois from Andy. If anyone knows the breed they are a working dog and not a dog that is frequently kept in a home. This is the breed used by Seal Team 6 when they dropped in on Bin Laden. He counseled extensively on how I would have to manage her. At 5 months of age I returned her to Andy for off leash and obedience training.



She spent three weeks at Dogs By Andy. When I returned to pick her up, I received extensive exit training with the puppy on how to handle her and re-affirm what she has learned.



I have worked with her daily. In May I took her to Manhattan on a NJ Transit Train. Forgot to mention she passed the therapy dog certification one day after her first birthday. For two hours I walked her through the Macy's on 8th Avenue and 34th Street. One hour on leash one hour off leash. Through thousands of shoppers up and down escalators.



She never once left my side. I have had many dogs and own three right now. She is by far the best quality and best trained dog I have ever owned. Just to make the point, when I brought her to the Vet for the first time, his first words were "you are not going to spay this dog right?"



I highly recommend Andy for the purchase of an animal, but cannot say enough about the training. I love showing her off!!!

I recently used Dogs by Andy to train my dog Oz. Andy and his staff were very knowledgeable and showed me how to work Oz on and off leash. They also help with some problem we were having at home. I was reluctant to use the e-collar but after trying it on myself I was shown that it really doesn't hurt him. I now have a dog that makes all my friends envious and people in the street are amazed. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend DOGS BY ANDY..

I could not have had a more positive experience than I did when I brought my dog to Dogs by Andy. I dealt mostly with John and found him to be very well mannered and helpful. What struck me from my first meeting with both John and Andy was how much love they had for the dogs they were responsible for.

My time with Dogs by Andy taught me how to be a better dog owner and made my dog a well behaved and still sweet and full or personality dog. I highly recommend this group to every dog owner I know..

Also, I have called and spoken to John a few times since my training ended and found that listening to him and doing exactly what he advises always works, furthermore, he has been pleasant everytime.

If you love your dog, you will bring it to Dogs by Andy!

I took my dig to Dogs by Andy last year. These guys are amazing with the dogs. They taught me how to be a good dog owner and they trained my dog perfectly. My dog is very well behaved as well as sweet and still goofy. I can not say enough positive things about them, including the fact that when I call a year after my training was over, they helped and gave me advice that worked, of course!

I say, if you love your dog, bring it to Dogs by Andy!

I first met Andy about 10 years ago. After reading a newspaper article about my K-9 Search and Rescue group, Andy contacted me to offer his expertise and assist in training exercises - pro bono. I was hesitant. SAR is not PetSmart dog training. It takes an expert in training - absolute reliable obedience along with a keen understanding of scent work. I invited Andy over to see what he could offer.

WOW did he ever open my eyes! Andy immediately analyzed my personal SAR dog. He pointed out her strengths and weaknesses and set up a personalized training program. I thought I knew dogs. I did, but Andy took me and my dog to another level. Over the years I have referred many people to Andy - all kinds of dogs all kinds of people. In every instance those people came back to me and thanked me for putting them in touch with Andy. Andy genuinely cares about his clients and their dogs. He even devotes time to shelters and not-for-profits, donating his time to help homeless dogs. Put some training on those dogs and they have an easier time getting adopted. Andy has also been quite generous with law enforcement agencies throughout the US. Andy Rocks the dog world!

Don't waste your money! I can't tell you how disappointed I was in their training of my dogs. The pictures on the web sight look like they they spend so much time with your dogs and in different situations and I know this not to be true! During the three weeks my dogs were there they both lost between 5 and 10 pounds each and all their muscle tone!

I called them during the time my dogs were there and they said they weren't progressing, that my dogs were stupid, and that dogs reflect their owners. When I went to pick up my dogs the owner, Andy, and our trainer John, joked that John could pretty much train a dog in 15 minutes. So after just a short review and "owner" training we were told, and it was very clear, that our dogs were too tired to continue, which ment to me the dogs were overworked at the last moment to learn what they didn't do in 3 weeks.

When we got home, a problem we had prior to training-that we were assured had resolved was still there. I called to talk to John, about my dog and my concerns and asked him how their "guarantee" worked because very little had changed with my dogs. He said I could bring them back and in "10 minutes" the problem would be gone. Well in 3 weeks they weren't properly trained, why would I drive them all the way back there for 10 minutes!

They never tried to help me over the phone, didn't seem to care one way or the other about me or my dogs. I love my dogs, they aren't bad dogs. I could have bought my own shock collar and done as much as they did!

I would never recommend Dogs By Andy. He takes your money and then decides if he wants to extend services or not. after he unprofessionally speaks to customers. He should not be in business. Beware. Do not use Dogs By Andy.
