When I needed a divorce attorney, I was referred to Ms. Newman by the Bar Association. Didn't know what to expect, but I was very pleased with our initial consultation and ultimately retained her. She protected me and my children throughout the proceedings in ways that I never even considered. After my divorce was final, she continued to work with me to insure that my ex was compliant with our agreements. I have referred my family and friends to her for various domestic issues when needed, and those who retained her have all been pleased with her services. Should I ever need legal assistance again, I would immediately pick up the phone and give Amy a call.

Amy is all about fee churning. She never did as she was advised working on the PSA. She made changes that were not requested. She never did what she was asked to do, she did what SHE wanted to do. Years (4) later we are no closer to being done because of her antics and grandstanding. You are not Amy's concern, her only concerning is running up extremely high bills and filling her bank account. Run from her!!

She belittled me as a client for my divorce which was difficult to take as a person who had been in an abusive marriage, and didn't believe my ex husband had been abusive, was chummy with my ex's lawyer, and never sent me a bill though I asked for one many times, and then she billed me in excess of $12,000 for services she never provided. I wanted to settle all along and she kept advising me not to, which makes you doubt yourself, and of course she kept the case going and found ways to pad her bill. Completely lacking in empathy, only saw me as a way to make money. She wasn't interested in doing what was best for me. I was not experienced with lawyers at the time and now know thanks to her, to never tolerate this kind of behavior from a lawyer.
