Over the past 5 or 6 years I have spent close to $10,000 at auctions at Manza Farm. I regularly recommended them to friends. At auctions you generally don't get first quality, you bid on what they're offering and you must buy lots of 3 to 5 trees so you expect the prices to be good. For the most part the trees and bushes were OK and the auction prices reasonable. Some of the items you purchase are inferior and die after planting. I did not bother to ask for any refund or replacements as it was one or two items here and there. Late last year I purchased four River Birches, three redbuds and two large burning bushes. I rented a backhoe, got a helper and planted them all the day after I received them. This spring four of these trees were barely alive and the rest are not doing very well. These trees should never have been sold. When I called Manza they wanted to give me partial credit for dead trees, no replacements. I will never buy anything from them and just spread the word.
