TL/DR: Manager and GM are very rude, unprofessional and have no concern for safety. Would not trust my car at this shop. No standard for your safety unless you pay for it. DO NOT GO HERE.

This is one of the few auto repair/tires stores that have a clean waiting area in the Montgomery area. Their staff is extremely knowledgable and they take their time to explain what is going on with my car. I never feel pressured to buy anything and I leave with confidence that my problem was fixed.

Stay as far away from these guys as possible. 8 months ago I had brakes and tie rods replaced. Both repairs were overpriced (as I discovered later) and required follow up repair within the first few months. I went to Indpendent mechanics as I had moved out of state by that time. Each one pointed out shoddy workmanship of American Tire. I had problems right from the beginning of the repairs. When I called the shop 30 days after the first repair, they said it was normal for new brakes to emit a burning oil smell. Unfortunately this caused me to wait until the parts were out of warranty. Although they promised they would call me back to see what they could do to make amends, they never called. These guys are theives. They'll overcharge you, mess up your car and never follow up complaints.
