Recently I called Bill Bradley to fix my Gas log starter for my fire place. The burner had rotted off and left its screw in the elbow it was attached to. The came out and replace the elbow. Donnie the "Certified Tec" told be to just get a burner and screw it in & directed me to Alagasco. Went there, found out they haven't sold parts it 1 year. Also found out my burner isn't a standard one. Called Bill Bradley back & asked for them order the part & was told they would call back with the price. Had to run them down and was told it would cost $300.00 to redo the work they had already done & install a flexible tube & a burner to sit on the floor of the fireplace. Unacceptable. Gold color tubing would be out of place, burner covered with ash would clog & require more work & dollars spent, & would be a mess when having to pick it up and clean. Called to talked to a manager and was met with resistance by their phone girl Amy who was very snotty told me I got what I asked for. How silly to ask to have someone come out, pay them and still be able to look at a non functional gas starter. Asked for a manager. Was told one would call back. It's been 5 days now & no reply (even sent a Email via their web page). I found out do it right and get a professional not at "Certfied Tech" K Hetler
