Nice interior compared to previous restaurant in same building. However, it too server at least 10 minutes before took our drink order, so we ordered food at same time. It took 15 more minutes before we got our pre-meal cup of soup, which was fair. As we sat waiting three other tables came in, were waited on & then serves before we got our meals 40 minutes later! Spoke to server when third table got their food before us, as I saw one of them got same thing I ordered. She said our meals would be out in just a minute & said they had dufficulty finding the rashers that came with hubby's order of Irish Sampler (marked as one of their specialties on menu). She claimed they had run out over the weekend & just got their shipment earlier in day (it's now 7:15pm & we arrived at 6:15). When food finally came she apologized & said she would see if the bill could be adjusted. Food was ok, but nothing special ( fish & chips for $15.99 and cravat of shepards pie & 3 small sausages with fries for $12.99). At end server asked if she could buy hubby a cup of coffee ( declined) & brought check that was not adjusted at all. When I returned from rest room (another adventure with unstable toilet & loose fixtures) server said she would buy me a drink next time I came in & that she would remember me. Yeah right! Don't worry, Heidi, we won't be back!

This is now an excellent place to eat and listen to some good music. The food is out of this world,just great. The service is excellent, what else do you need? Try Ramblers Rest you will be very happy you did.

warm, courteous and attentive service with a lot of atmosphere. Food presentation and selection is tempting and above average = = = highly recommend this pub
