I had a small apple tree 'lean' into my house after a long rain. I sent out a number of requests for quotes. Lenin was quick to respond to my request. He told me what needed to happen, timeline and quote. Everything played out exactly as expected and the cost was very reasonable. I'd absolutely recommend Alternative Tree Service.

Alternative Tree Service did a great job of trimming my trees and hedge. It's a family owned business that has years of experience and are very professional. I would highly recommend them. Lenin is the certified tree arborist and comes out with his dad to give you an estimate. We discussed items that concerned me about the needs in my yard and I'm very happy with the outcome.

Lenin, the owner, provided a detailed, itemized, written proposal for trimming and cleaning several trees at my sister's home in Gresham. He also included chipping, hauling and cleaning up in the proposal. They provided the service immediately, just as they had proposed and explained. Lenin also explained everything they would do, gave some recommendations, and pros and cons of the options he gave. This is a relatively new company, I think only about three years old, but they obviously had prior experience in the tree service industry, knew what they were doing, and were extremely professional in both the proposal and in the work.



They are a family company, and all the work is performed by the family. Lenin, the owner, his brother and father all came out for the proposal and spent about a half hour after their full work day going over all details of what I wanted, pros and cons of several options, degrees of work I could choose from, and even explained issues of maintaining tree health and encroachment over the neighbor's property. He didn't try to sell me anything more than I requested, not even making any comments about other work that was obviously needed in the yard. I chose to have five trees trimmed, thinned and cleaned, one being a huge sweet gum tree with octopus branches. They did an excellent job, just as they proposed, and their clean up was such that you couldn't even tell they had been there. They also did the work within two days of my accepting their proposal, as they knew I was wanting it done asap.



They were all very polite as well as professional. I would highly recommend this company and will hire them again, if needed. I really liked working with them and have no regrets whatsoever.

I highly recommend Alternative Tree Service! They came out quickly to give me an estimate & clearly explained what they planned on doing. They did a great job & cleaned up the area very nicely. You can't even tell there used to be a tree there! They even cut up some of the rounds for me to use as firewood. Oh yeah, best part-they were by far the least expensive of the 3 estimates I got! Cost aside, they made me feel like they would do whatever it took to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely use them again if the need arises!

We could not have ask for better service in falling the 19 trees that needed to be cut on our property. Lenin, his father & brother all worked together as a team. They kept us informed as they progressed & answered questions & addressed any problems that occured. We are much appreciated for the fine work that they did. Because it is a family owned business I believe that is the secret to their understanding and caring ability to meet the needs of their customers. We would highly recommend Alternative Tree Service to anyone wants the best service out there!

Great service! Family run buisness, bid was by far the lowest of all three. Quickly and effeciently removed a tall tree that was half dead from the top down and leaning toward my house. Honest, knowledgeable and professional. Deserves 5 stars!

We were very impressed with the professional job done for us. They worked together well, taking down two huge cherry trees that were in tricky spots close to our house and outbuilding. It was clear that they have a ton of experience, and we will be calling them again soon to take down a huge, diseased fir tree for us.

Outstanding service and results! I asked Lenin Aquino if he would come over and give me an estimate for pruning all of my shrubs and trees by hand. I have mature shrubs and trees that got out of control. They did a beautiful job of shaping and thinning looking natural but had room for summer growth. Lennin's Dad has been an arborist for over 30 years and definately knows his business, they even helped me diagnose an ailing Rhody and Sycamore tree and gave me contact info for how to have OHSU examine my soil. I highly recommend Alternative Tree Service to anyone.
