I went in to get four yards of fabric because I had a coupon. There were seven to ten people waiting in line. I grabbed a number, it was 88, the screen said 63. The lady next to me said the number on the screen was 53 an hour ago, you do the math. I chucked my paper number and walked out. Coupon be damned. This is unacceptable Jo Anne's, quit trying to save a buck on wages and properly staff your stores.

Jo Ann's of Modesto leaves a great deal to be desired. I asked for help twice last night, and was waved off to this end and then that end of the store. All I wanted was t shirt fabric. After still not getting any help in finding the fabric, I went to the front of the store and asked the check out clerk if the manager was still here. Three times she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, and three times I said yes. The manager did not show up. I still needed the fabric, so I left and went somewhere that understands customer service. I wish I could say this was an isolated experience, however, I can't. This is very typical of Jo Ann's of Modesto, CA. I never get proper help. I'm always waved off to the "general direction" of what I need. Typically, they don't have enough help in the store and it takes forever to get fabric cut. Then another long line to get checked out. Currently, they are doing some remodeling. The plan is to have classes there. I don't see how they can teach anyone anything when it seems impossible for their employees to help you find merchandise that is already in the store.
