He received his medical training at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of California, San Francisco, California. Dr. Holmes then chose to specialize in trauma care and finished an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship from the University of California, Davis in Sacramento, California. He has been practicing as an orthopedic trauma surgeon since 1999. Dr. Holmes is a highly esteemed and valuable part of the team of surgeons at OrthoMed Center. He has over 20 years of experience in caring for patients with injuries caused by severe trauma, including complex fractures and non-union fractures. He also sees patients for total hip and knee replacements, adult reconstructions, limp deformity, and AO acetabular and pelvic reconstruction.
