Ben C. Rain High School was founded in 1959 and is spread on 22-acres of space. Located in Mobile, Ala., the school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and offers educational and extracurricular programs. Its curriculum includes international studies, foreign language, mathematics, science, humanities and arts. The school also provides lessons in music, computers and physical education and conducts performance based assessments through Stanford-9 standardized test. It puts special emphasis on the development of reading, writing and mathematical skills and encourages its students to take ownership and responsibility in their daily lives. Sporting activities at Ben C. High school include soccer, chess, baseball, basketball, swimming, badminton, volleyball and tennis.
