The Ararat Home of Los Angeles, founded in 1949, is a nonprofit organization providing care for elderly Armenians in Southern California. It offers assisted living, nursing and convalescent care facilities and promotes Armenian heritage and culture in the United States. The center organizes cultural events for the residents and encourages participation. Other facilities include the Sheen Memorial Chapel, the George Deukmejian Grand Ballroom and the Ararat Eskijian Museum, which is a cultural heritage relating to the Armenian people. The Ararat Home of Los Angeles is located in Mission Hills, Calif.
