This company was actually referred to me by a friend who supplies glass to them. You would think they would take care of a person like that. Each time I deal with these people they make multiple false promises and never show up when they're supposed to. on the last job they did they put the door in crooked. they have ignored every call to come and fix it. Use at your own risk. super shady. BTW, that inline door and panel on Feb 3rd is mine and that door doesnt even close right. 30 years of business. HAHAHAHA wow

Comfortable seats and pleasant experiance

I have been to Horizons "Open MRI of Pembroke Pines" at least 3 or 4 times.

First and foremost they have very plush comfortable chairs and couches for us people with pain to wait in and watch TV.

It is fairly easy to find (last business at the far west end of the plaza) and plenty parking. A Disabled Permit parking is right at the entrance.

The staff and techs have been very nice. My only bad experiance was that the tech could not get into my vein for the gadolinium contrast material and that upset me because I wanted my films enhanced as much as possible. I've had VERY HARD tofind veins. It is common for me to be stuck 5 to 10 times. Many times a head nurse or experianced flabotomist must be summoned to stick me correctly so this is not necessarily a complaint against OPEN MRI of PEMBROKE PINES. Just an experiance that I have more often than not anywhere a vein has to be stuck.

They also give you a free complimentary copy of your MRI fils. Its like pulling teeth at some places just to get one copy. (Copies above the ones they give you for free are $10 each).

I felt very secure leaving my jewelry in my changing room. Each changing room has a key. When you exit your room you lock the entire room (has a bathrrom in your changing room also. That is a plus since we never know when nature might call in the middle of a procedure so we can empty our bladder etc. "before" we lay on the table.

Even though the name was changed from OPen MRI of Pembroke Pines to Horizon MRI the place still looks the same and most of all your not placed in a claustrophobic old style MRI tube. You lay on a nice open MRI machine and you can move your arms freely over your head or down by your side between scans.

The tech tells you exactly each time the scan is taking place. For example he or she might say were done with this segment, relax, then later they may say this next sement will take 5 minutes. They will tell you when that 5 minutes is up. The only complaint that I have is that the MRI machines are so expensive that most places never have more than one. Heck one hospital that I go to doesn't even ow theirs. They rent one. It is built inside a semi-tractor trailer. The old tube style and it is very uncomfortable for bigger persons. Since there is only one machine an appointment for noon could be delayed an hour or more if for example a person like myself causes the tech valuable time trying to stick my invisable veins. I remember hearing the person that was going in after me complaining about how long he had waited. I explained that it was mainly my fault becasue I have hard to find veins. I explained that they were lucky for had they found the my vein after 30 minutes my entire test would have had to be done again (Scan without and with contrast).

One thing I might add about ALL MRI places is you must be aware that if your pregnant that it may cause some delay or denial of procedure and if you have ever worked in a metal shop and gotten metal pieces thrown in our eyes or shrapnal or anyhting metal inside your body like metal heart stents and brain anuerism clamps etc. They cant do the MRI on certain people becasue the magnetic field is so strong that it could try to pull the metal chips from your eye or brain.

I hope my ratng has been helpful. The people are very nice and you will have a relaxing experiance. Its also in a one floor building so you dont have to worry about eleators or stairs. It beats the heck out of going into a hospital setting or high rise office building anytime.

I hope our visit was as easy and restfull as mine. Your welcome to take a nap durng the entire test of you so desire.

It is easy to log in and give your opinion also. So add yours aalso!
