This is a beautiful restaurant. We have had pretty good service & food each time we've gone here. It's my spot for my cuban food fix in Miramar!

La Carreta is a beautiful latin restaurant. I absolutely love the style and set up the restaurant.

-Upon entering the restaurant at 10am for breakfast I wasn't greeted, instead I stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before being seated. The hostess in the front was very rude. Handed me my menu and pointed me towards my table

-After being seated the 2 waitresses in my area walked passed me, finally after another 10 minutes of waiting I was greeted by my pleasant server who took my order.

- my 2 for 1 mimosas arrived first, delicious did I mention they were 2 for 1?!. After a few minutes my Carretera breakfast arrived with the warm buttered cuban toast and coffee this restaurant is known for. The food was large in portion for only $6.50 although I did not appreciate the burnt bacon I was served. Overall the food and drinks were great.

I want to rate my experience a 4 but unfortunately first impressions are the lasting and great customer service is key, I'll definitely be having breakfast here again.

Place is rude and petty...horrible customer experience

Stay away from this place unless you like petty, rude service and subpar food. Went there for breakfast - received rude service, was over-charged for a breakfast sandwich because I DARED to want that instead of their buffet. Then I took ONE bite out of a pastry that my friend left on her plate and was threatened to be charged for a full buffet! Ridiculous. When I went to talk to the manager about it, he was at the counter but ran away and let the cashier handle it. STAY AWAY...try Casa Romeu for great food and service. I'm just amazed at today's experience given that restaurants are 100% in the service industry. Their $1.50 over-charge and pettines just cost them hundreds because I USE to order this sandwich and buy pastries for the office there on a pretty regular basis. I will never again give them one cent of my money. Don't you do it either. This place needs an attitude change and if you read internet reviews on them, I'm not alone in this opinion. Location management is a reflection of ownership values and as a business owner myself, if I were to see even one bad review - I would be all over it and make changes. This chain obviously doesn't do that. STAY AWAY
