Fantastic rock shop, but now located in huge space at 3018 Lyndale Ave South in Minneapolis. Just south of Lake Street.

I'm just a rookie round hound and fossil hunter, but man is this place fun! They'll not only identify fossils and rocks for you, but they have classes that teach you how to polish/cut rocks and clean fossils (I took the lapidary class). The classes are great because they can take your rockhounding to another level and pretty-up that box of semi-interesting looking rocks into really nice pieces to keep and treasure.His collection of fossils is also amazing. I thought i had found some great fossils on my own, but it's just a veritable museum with amazing pieces. You'll be amazed with the stuff you see.GREAT for kids and GREAT for adults.

A trip to ZRS is a fantastic experience. The store is beautiful and displays a great variety of natural fossils, artifacts and specimens, as well as a large selection of semiprecious stone jewelry and interesting, unique gifts at reasonable prices. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and is willing to make a customer's visit pleasant and educational. It is truly a fun shopping venture and I will return soon. Bravo!
