United Auto quoted me $850 for a set of tires. I got the same thing - brand new - for $400 somewhere else. Also, too many people they hire can't communicate. They either can't speak English, don't let you finish your question before they talk over you, or give you an appointment to get something fixed and when you get there, tell you it's going to take too much time and they need to reschedule.

Carl and John at United Auto have worked on our cars for at least 15 years now. We used to live in Plymouth not far from the shop, but now we live in Burnsville and still go to United Auto!! Trust me, it is well worth the drive!! Thanks guys!

I am new to the area & was stymied by a electrical problem that prevented me from starting my car. I had a fuse blowing after turning the ignition key on. I can usually track down mechanical problems myself, but this stumped me. Was told of United and they solved the problem after going through a multitude of checks. Very professional, courteous, and explained everything before and after doing it. Would highly recommend their services.

Recently moved back to town, and needed a power window motor replaced. United was able to get the part, but at a much higher price than I had found online. However, they had no issue installing the part that I purchased elsewhere, and did so in an hour! They called me as soon as it was done. Great service, I hope they keep it up, I'm sure I'll be needing them again!

I recently had my Volkwagen Golf repaired at United Automotive in Plymouth, MN. The timing belt had failed (at 78000 miles), ruining the cylinder head. After $1300.00 in repairs (not including the cylinder head replacement), I thought the job was done. Two days later, the timing belt failed again. After some investigation, I found out that its common, and VW "reccomended practice" to replace the belt tensioner when ever the timing belt is replaced, as this is the most common CAUSE for timing belt failure. As a matter of fact, VW sells a timing belt replacment kit with a new tensioner and pulleys included. United Automotive DID NOT replace the tensioner, thereby eliminating the cause of the failure in the first place. As a resolution, they offered to continue to try to fix the problem, IF I CONTINUED TO PAY FOR LABOR (over and above the original $1300.00). They should have fixed the CAUSE of the problem in the first place. It's been over a month, and my car is still not fixed. You make
