Established in 1915, East Side Neighborhood Services is a nonprofit community services agency that provides support programs to individuals and families. It has departments for senior citizens, youth and children that provide employment support and health care services. The organization also offers a variety of programs in parenting, mental health, literacy and housing to more than 12,500 individuals. It operates a high school that provides classes in art, math, astronomy, geography, science and physical education. In addition to that, it organizes summer camps and undertakes a variety of activities, such as swimming, basketball, camping and canoeing, picnics, trips and hikes. East Side Neighborhood Services is headquartered in Minneapolis.
