Agree - my experience was similar - but let me add that the technicians are not always as knowledgable as they lead you to believe. I struggled with fit problems which over the course of two years they were unable to resolve. Went to Gear West and they fixed me up in one visit. Go where you feel comfortable!

I went in there once. I was looking around when the counter attendant asked if I needed assistance. I explained that I had never been in there before and was looking around to see what all they had. I then asked what lines they carried.The man responded that they carried Specialized, Time, and Scott. Then, after a pause, he added that "We cater to an Upscale clientele".Oops, I guess that's not me. I just LOVE biking. I have a collection of bikes, some old British 3 speeds, some modern ones like Amp Research. But I just like to ride. I ride every day. I bike commute to work daily. I averaged 25 miles a day throughout this Winter, every day. I'm just a bike enthusiast, who loves riding. I'm not Special, and certainly not UPSCALE. But if you need to shop at a place that makes you Special, and you need to feel Upscale, then this "Shop, for the pretty" may suit you well.
