Beautiful Yet Noisy

We thought the hotel's ambiance was beautiful.

The way it is set up is that the first floor is a huge court yard area, with a water fountain, breakfast dining and bar dining.

The many floors of rooms overlook this beautiful courtyard area.

The huge downside to the hotel floor plan is that all the noise on the first floor carries all the way up to the rooms, as it is open.

The rooms are spacious and I believe all rooms have the same living/dining/kitchen area, which is connected to the sleeping quarters.

There is a door between the rooms, which was our saving grace one night.

We wanted to watch television in the living area yet the bar was buzzing with loud people. The noise was loud and annoying, so we watched TV in the other room...which was pretty noisy as well.

Our room faced a busy street and we heard the constant roar of cars.

We considered getting a different room, yet were too exhausted to move all of our stuff.

They do offer a great complimentary breakfast. We were only able to smell how yummy it seemed as we were pressed for time both mornings.

Beware~ the tile floor in the bathroom was soooooooooooooooooo slippery, when wearing socks, shoes and barefoot. We feared we were going to slip and hurt ourselves.

My guess is this place is better suited for party people who don't mind noise...we simply desired peace & quiet.
