The Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine oversees programs in the areas of clinical care, education and research at various hospitals and training sites within the Twin Cities area. The division employs more than 45 faculty members. It provides various global health courses, such as the Tropical and Travel Medicine Course. The Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine has affiliation agreements with several abroad institutions, including St. John s Medical College in Bangalore, India, and Selian Lutheran Hospital in Arusha, Tanzania. It is located in Minneapolis and is a part of the University of Minnesota, which was founded in 1851. The University of Minnesota maintains various educational campuses and research and outreach centers. It enrolls over 40,000 undergraduate and nearly 25,000 graduate and professional students. The university employs approximately 4,000 full-time faculty members.
