I made it clear I am the one making the decisions for the home in our household. Even in this economy they wouldn't even come out to meet with me without my husband present.
It was very strange.
This is the first time in my life I have ever felt discriminated against because I am a woman.
Maybe they're a great company, but if they don't want my money without seeing me get my husband's permission, I'm not interested.
Thank you for your review. While we never like to find out our customers experience was negative or challenging, we appreciate hearing the feedback- good or bad. I want to apologize that your experience was not positive. Weather Tight takes all reviews and feedback from customers very seriously. Anytime we have an opportunity to learn, grow, and train- we make a conscious effort to do so. After receiving your review, we were able to pull recordings from your scheduled appointment as well as talk with the appropriate parties who you had a negative experience with. I know that our President, Tod, had reached out to you, to gather more information and personally work to rectify the situation. From my understanding, you were able to schedule an appointment with him, but with life, things can get busy and I understand you could not make the appointment. I wanted to personally reply to your review to at least touch base with you. At the very least, I want you to know that your review has reached upper management, we appreciate the feedback you have provided us thus far, and we are working with our team members to make adjustments.

I must say that there policy of having both husband and wife present for the estimate turned me off instantly. When I called to book an appointment (at 2:00pm), I was told by a representative that they could come out at 5:30 that day. I had originally at another appointment at 6:00pm and was advised that I should cancel or change the 6pm appointment. But further in the conversation I was told that my wife had to be in attendance in order to set up the appointment. At that time I advised the rep that she was not available and we had agreed that I would be making a decision on this project. I was told that the appointment would have to be rescheduled. I requested to speak to the manager on duty and was told by the rep that she would speak with the manager and call me back. I waited until 4:45pm and did not receive a call back. So I called and was told that they could not get approval from the manager because the manager left earlier (must not be a 9-5 position).
What strikes me as odd is when we bought our house, our realtor never requested that both of us be present for our appointment and when I got to Lowes to buy a new pair of washer/dryer, I didn't here for the sales rep, ""Oh, sorry I can't take to you because your wife is not here. Your money is no good.""
I must say that I see Weather Tight's commercial every morning on TMJ 4. I have always been interested to contact them as we are redoing all of our windows and patio door. At this point, I am glad that I will not be working with them. IF they are that demanding with minuscule policies, I am sure their sales reps are trained to shove as much crap down there customers' throats.
My word of mouth advertising for this company will be nothing but negative. Thank you for the unpleasant experience.

I had siding put on my house. Be prepared, my first sales contact took 3 hours - way too long in my opinion. They also insisted that all the owners of the house be present. . Any contact with the office took time and effort. Nobody is ever at their desk. Everybody is very polite but I think the office staff must be overworked or something because they take a couple of days to call you back. I expect that when I am spending $20,000 on something they would call you back right away. The actual work on the house went well and looks great. The installation did take longer than the sales lady implied. I had some issues with the caulking and they came back and fixed them but it took them a month from when I called. I do appreciate that they have an A+ rating with the BBB.

I recommend using Weathertight but warn you that you need patience dealing with the office.

I am satisfied with my siding from Weather Tight. The made the process easy for me. I will recommend to my friends.
From the start of our search for new windows to the finished product, Weathertight provide exceptional service. We were impressed by the personable demonstration of the product and the comparison with other windows on the market. The schedulers worked around our busy lives and set up our installation quickly. The work crew new their jobs, did a relatively quick installation, and cleaned up thoroughly. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. We had the windows and doors in our two coldest rooms replaced, and we already can tell a big difference with the comfortable temperatures. We plan to have more windows replaced in the future. We highly recommend Weathertight.
We live in a sprawling two story 1950 patio home in Watertown and we just had our roof replaced by Weathertight. Yes in the middle of winter with snow on the roof. It was a warm (20 degrees) day with no sun. The crew showed up at daybreak and had the roof shoveled in 1 hour. Three hours later the roof was bare. Four hours later the underlayment and flashing were completed. By the end of the day the roof was on and the debris picked up and put neatly in the trash container. What amazed me was the skill and attitude of the crew. Roofing is not easy when the weather is ideal. These guys made it look like a piece of cake and enjoyed every minute of it. Their work was top notch too. Extra care was made to ensure that the flashing around the chimney was completed correctly to prevent leaks. The following day the trash container disappeared and our gutter covers were fine tuned. It was a real pleasure to deal with a professional organization. I would recommend them for any roof replacement summer, fall, winter or spring.

I would just like to say I am very happy with the purchase and installation of the 7 replacement windows in my home. The sales rep worked with us to get us both quality windows and keep them within our budget. He explained exactly what we should look for in new windows and demonstrated how their windows worked and looked. The windows were installed way ahead of the estimated installation date which worked out great so we could enjoy some energy savings sooner than expected. The installation was done above my expectations. The installer was very experienced and took very little time to complete the removal and installation of the windows. I do not have a single complaint and would highly recommend Weathertight for your window needs.

The Weather Tight team worked together to give us a beautiful new roof. Our salesperson helped us through the details of choosing the various items that it takes to make up a quality roof. The installation team did an excellent job of installing and cleaning up. They were punctual and protective of our landscape and worked throughout the day until they finished. Carl and his team came back to complete the job on the soffits and facia. Carl was very respectful of the fact that it was Inauguration Day and did everything he could so that we and our guests wouldn't be disturbed as we watched our new President Barack Obama take the oath of office! Thanks to the office staff for the polite and prompt handling of calls. All in all the entire team at Weather Tight did a great job. Thanks.

We've wanted an attached sunroom since we built our new home. After much research we settled on Weathertight Corp. From beginning to end we had nothing but top-notch service and professionalism. From front desk to construction crew they were friendly and helpful. Their service went beyond what we expected. The construction crew was very professional and showed great respect for our property. They even cleaned up after themselves every evening when they left our job sight! Nothing was ever in disarray or untidy. You don't often see this attention to detail in today's world. I HIGHLY recommend Weathertight - you'll get the most for your money! Our new Sunroom is beautiful.....

Using Weather Tight Window company for replacement windows was a great decision! From Sales to Service we had a very positive experience. Our windows were expected in late February and instead were installed the 1st week in January! That was a great bonus, because bitter cold weather was just around the corner! Our house is draft free and I feel sure our heating bill will go way down. Our intstaller was here on time, ready to go and very inobtrusive. He worked hard and got the job done in the time frame given. He showed us how to operate our new windows and answered all our questions. Weather Tight is certainly a company we would deal with again, if the need arises.

For the past few years I have been looking to put in a new patio door in my kitchen. The issue I had was my house is that the house is built from the ground up to the second floor with cement blocks. Trying to find a reason price to cut a hole in my wall, add the supports, and install the doors for a price I felt was reasonable took me a while to find a company until I found Weathertight. From start to finish Weathertight contractors, sales associates and office workers, walked me through every step from the purchase of my door, to the installation, and through the final walk through of the project was an experience I will talk about to my friends for a long time. As having this done over a weekend I was a bit scare knowing the office was not open to help the contractor out with any issues they my run into. I have to say this contractor had great work ethics staying for more than 10 hours on a Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday when he could have just decided not to take a job on the weekend and be away from his family showed how much Weathertight hires quality workers to represent their company. We would recommend this contractor for any work he does for Weathertight. With the door in for the past few weeks my wife and I are both glad we decided to go with Weathertight. We have family and friends stop over and have given great complements about the door. I would highly recommend Weathertight products and services to my friends and family to use them in the future. THANKS WEATHERTIGHT!!!!!!!

We recently had a bow window installed from Weathertight Corporation and are extremely satisfied with not only the quality of the window itself, but with the installation crew as well. The installers did a fantastic job from start to finish. We highly recommend Weathertight!

Overall customer service from Weathertight was very professional and friendly. From the receptionist straight to the installers and everyone in between. The installation team is more than willing to help put your house back together after the job is done and they clean up after themselves. The product you buy is worth the money you spend. Couldn't be happier!!!

My home is 116 years old, and I did not like the idea of giving up my old windows, but they were drafty and loose fitting. I am so pleased with the replacement windows installed by Weather Tight. The woodgrain vinyl finish on the inside blends in, so the change is hardly noticable. What is noticable is how much nicer the windows look on the outside -- and no more painting for me -- or climbing on ladders to clean the glass. Also my new windows open further than the old did allowing much better air circulation into the house. And I am sure that I will appreciate how much better they will keep the heat in during the winter months.
It was a pleasure doing business with Weather Tight. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and very friendly. Mark, the installer, did a very thorough job. The windows are big and heavy. He did a lot of heavy work, but did not slow down. It is easy to see that he is very dedicated to doing a good job. And he was also a nice person to speak with. I felt very comfortable with leaving him at his work while I went away. I have house cats and Mark was vigilant that they not get out. I appreciated that.

8/26/08 This is an update to an earlier review... Just this week we had a triple pane window unit put into the dining room plus new patio doors in the kitchen and master bedroom. The doors are really solid and built to last; plus they look terrific! As the installer was working on the door and opening/closing it, I could hear how outside sounds were kept out. That will be great on mornings I want to sleep in and someone has to be cutting their grass! The installer was here over 10 hours and was as pleasant at the end of his day as he was when he first arrived. I know we will enjoy these windows/doors for many years.//////////////////
My first experience with Weather Tight came this past winter when I discovered we had mold growing on our bedroom windows! The Weather Tight salesman confirmed what I already knew...ALL the windows in our house needed to be replaced. We decided to do them in stages and in March had the master bedroom, master bathroom and kitchen casement windows replaced.
I couldn't be happier with the new windows! They are so much easier to operate. I can actually open a casement window without worrying that it won't close which is a concern with a 3-story walk-out. The installation was done in less time than expected and clean-up was minimal. Even though we only had a few windows replaced, I was able to keep the heat turned down enough to see a difference in our electric bill. The triple pane glass works. I'd had Pella in a previous home and the Sunrise Windows installed by Weather Tight are so much better. Expensive? Yes - but you are getting a quality product.
Weather Tight was recommended to me and I recommend them to you. As proof, we just signed up last night to replace 2 patio doors and the triple window in the dining room!

We recently had soffit and facia installed by Weather Tight and could not be more impressed with their excellent service and workmanship. We have a farm house that is well over 100 years old and therefore has lots of differing sizes of overhangs. Carl the installer had to measure and have Nathan his assistant custom cut each and every soffit piece as they varied between 1/2 to 3/4 inches all the way up. Also our roof has an extremely high pitch to it so it involved a lot of ladder manuevering between Carl and Nathan. They worked together as a team and didn't seem to mind that the job took several days longer than expected. They were there promptly every day, put in a full days work and always cleaned up as they went. We are very pleased with the job and would highly recommend Weather Tight . Every aspect, from service, scheduling ,installation and finance was very friendly and professional. Great Job!
