Horrible experience. We were quoted $1324 for the packing portion of the move and given a target delivery time of 6 days. After we moved to our new placed we were notified that no one is available to deliver our possessions for another two weeks. And the new target delivery time is the week when both my husband and I will be out of town. We notified Schroeder about this and were ignored. We were forced to contact a second moving company in order to get our possessions in a reasonable time frame. Once we received our things I realized that most of the boxes were packed half full at best - there were jumbo boxes with two bottles or wine or a lamp shade - and we were being charged for each box. This is at best dishonest and essentially theft. In addition, the glass shelves in the curio hutch were broken or missing because they were carelessly wrapped in thin sheets of paper. Meanwhile they bubble wrapped by tupperware. And to top it all off, the final bill is $1900+ even though the actual weight was nearly 100 lb lighter than estimate. Of course we called Schroeder again. This time we were told this new bill includes an extra "warehouse holding fee" and that it's my husband's fault for not overseeing the movers during the packing process.



In summary, this is an unscrupulous and dishonest company.
