I believe silky9102 is jumping to conclusions. Most of the staff that have come to mow and edge our yard *are* hispanic. I seriously doubt Hauke's would have any problem working in a Mexican neighborhood. I'm sorry you're outside their zone, but in my experience, they have always been friendly, efficient, and careful of toys left in the yard when we forget to put them away. They make sure the gate clicks shut so our dog doesn't escape. They do a good job, quickly and dependably. We're quite happy with their service.

Based on distance (I used mapquest to get mileage, so I could ask immediately on the phone whether I was in their coverage area), I was in their service area, but the minute the lady on the phone heard my actual street name she said they couldn't come out. I suspect it's because I live in a Mexican neighborhood. I live in a nice, gentrifying Mexican neighborhood, I'm not Mexican, and all my Mexican neighbors are respectable working people, it's their loss. Sad to experience something like this, you'd think in the 21st Century we'd be beyond this sort of thinking.
