Enter at your own risk and only if you're desperate as I was this afternoon: company coming, need to vacuum at the least the living and dining room, but the belt on my Hoover vacuum was broken. Thank goodness, I think, I found this store on the Internet and it's only just a few blocks away First off, it's a dump, but for repairing vacuum cleaners you don't lots of glass, chrome, and art on the walls. Second, the owner is apparently an eastern European (Russian?) who speaks broken and not very comprehensible English. "What type of vacuum." "Hoover upright." He points to the wall. "Thousands of belts. How do I know which one? I show him the broken belt. "Doesn't the number on the belt tell you anything? "What number? No number. " "Yes, there is: (long number beginning with 3...)." He seems amazed that there's a number on the belt and then goes to the wall and gets a belt. Cost: $4. May or may not worth $4.

I love this store. The owner is vey friendly and very helpful. You know when you go in that this business has been around for quite a while, he has parts in his store that haven't been seen since I was a young child. I truly recommend you seek this store out for old/new vacuum needs.

I did read the reviews below, but still chanced it. The customer service is superb, all the staff knew exactly what was wrong. The repair was done quickly. Vacuum was fixed the next day and the price was more then reasonable.Vacuum working like new. Very good experience, I highly recommend.

The man knows his craft and is reasonable ($). He does a good job of diagnosing the problem and follows up with excellent service. I would give a 5 star rating but the store is kind of dirty inside and afterall they do sell vacuums.

If I could give ZERO stars for this store I would. The owner of this store is the most RUDE and DISRECPECTFUL human being that I have ever met when it comes to customer service. When I tried to question him on what warranties could be covered if he was unable to fix my vacuum he literally YELLED at me, rudely left me standing at the counter alone after acting like an immature child storming off to the back room after verbally kicking me out of the store. This was with absolutely NO provocation from me - only questioning next steps if he was unable to fix the problem.



DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY. Take your vacuum to Mr. Vac on Silver Spring. 414-466-8666 - they will make sure to fix your problem.

My story began in 1998 when I bought a vacuum cleaner from this store. Before that

I was buying from different stores on a "yearly basis" - since they were falling apart after warranty expired. For 13 (!) years I had no problem with my vacuum cleaner. Here I’m again to replace

a belt. Great service and great products. Why should I go somewhere else?

How can they state on this page that this store has no negative reviews.

Make sure you get a receipt from this guy. He charged me for a part that was not put in. Man not friendly either. Find another store for good service.

Very overpriced and took forever to get my vacuum back!!

Do NOT go to this store. I have never been treated so poorly. My mother and I went to this location to look for a replacement seal for my carpet cleaner. We were treated as if we were "dumb women" that didn't know what we were talking about. The man never offered to help us lift the full-sized machine onto a 4 foot counter, and acted as if we were lying that our carpet cleaner was broken. He did not help us with our problem in the least bit.
