We boast the area's largest martial arts school at over 3500 sq. ft. 2" foam and vinyl floor insures our students are safe and comfortable during workouts. For the spectators we have a comfortable spacious lobby with free Wi-Fi and a lounge area. Snacks and 10 flat screen TV's coming soon! History Established in 2005 Active Martial Arts started as the Mill Creek Taekwondo Academy in 2005. The owner, Erik Wray, started his training in Southern California and has opened over 6 martial arts schools in his 18 years. Active Martial Arts was formed to combine realistic, modern day training infused with the traditional teachings of Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. What has compiled is a challenging, fun, and easy to learn method of Martial Arts combining the traditional techniques of Taekwondo (Korea) with elements of Muay Thai (Thailand), Kickboxing (America), and Weaponry (Japan). In our Grappling we incorporate the traditional techniques from Gracie Jiu Jitsu (Brazil) with takedowns utilized from Judo (Japan). We have a rank system set up and our awesome instructors will help you every step of the way... Meet the Business Owner: Erik W. Erik Wray started his training over 18 years ago in Southern California. After many years of wanting to train in martial arts, he fulfilled his lifelong dream to train at the age of 17 while working, living, and paying everything on his own. At 20 years old he purchased his first studio and went on to open 6 more schools, all in operation today. He has taught all ages from 3 to 75 and has had the opportunity to train professional athletes from the NFL and collegiate football, celebrities, and has been featured on ESPN, Fox Sports, and King 5 news.
