We bought a portable washer and dryer. We had made payments on schedule for 8-9 months and we fell behind 1 week. The manager Eric called my phone and my husband's phone on Monday, our payments were do on Saturday's. We had a family emergency so we were out of town, no service we couldn't call them and quite frankly weren't all that worried about it we were going to catch up as soon as we got back home. I went into the app that Wednesday to make the payment from the past Saturday and there were now saying that 2 payments were owed to them. I called and the guy tells me he can take the 1 payment thats past due but it's going to be $44.98 not what our amount is $35.98, they charge you almost $10 extra for your convenience for them taking your payment over the phone! I said "your out of your mind if you think I'm going to pay extra for you to take my payment over the phone!" He said "I'll have Eric who's the manager call you back only he can take those fees off". Eric calls me back and is all nice and I can take your payment without the fees. I said I don't know if I even want to keep these now, I'll have to get back to you, we may just return them. That's when he got rude and started telling me they're not taking them back they want the payments not the washer and dryer. We returned them and will NEVER do business with Rent-A-center again!
