Wow, I can not say enough about how wonderful the teachers are at Great Beginnings Preschool. There is love and attention given to every child. The owner is well established in the community and brings forward so many great traditions, activities and crafts. They spend a lot of time outside in addition to themed months. My daughter has thrived and we could not have asked for a better preschool experience. Highly recommend this preschool.

My 3yr old son has been attending Great Beginning's Preschool in Milford the past year and is flourishing! His teachers are kind, nurturing and creative and the director runs a tight ship with competence, humor, and a lot of love and grace. The kids are always learning with hands on activities, utilizing a small class size. The space is filled with colorful preschooler artworks decorating the walls and the staff has carefully chosen the best in developmentally appropriate activities and books to provide a quality education. They have also addressed his individual learning style, while going above and beyond what is expected. The school has access to a great playground as well as a gym inside the building for daily exercise and even yoga!!



The director and staff succeeds in fostering a terrific sense of community in both the kids and the parents. It has been an amazing experience for him and our entire family.

We are so thankful that we found Great Beginning’s for our son's education. When we pick him up in the afternoon he is so excited to tell us all about his day. Can’t wait till our 9 month old daughter is ready to attend. Best preschool in New Haven county!!

Wonderful pre-school - just the right size, not too big, not too small. Wonderful staff; bright clean environment, and lots to keep the children engaged. We were nervous about moving our daughter but she instantly felt welcome and comfortable. Excellent experience - wish we found it a year earlier...but we will be back for their summer camp!

Great Beginnings is a wonderful pre-school. Both of my kids went here. The teachers/staff are wonderful. They very much prepared both children for kindergarten, while also providing a nurturing, fun environment for them to spend their days. They offered fun classes such as ZUMBA, YOGA and more while also making sure each child had the knowledge required for Kindergarten. We loved the school!

Great Beginnings is a wonderful school and I wouldn't choose anywhere else for my 2 daughters. The teachers are wonderful and really care about each child, and my daughters really came to love their teachers too. They offer a great programs too - not only were my children thoroughly prepared for kindergarten (I was amazed how much they learned!), but they also got to take part in extra activities like yoga, computers and tennis. They also provide many different opportunites to get the parents involved too - which was great - and after 3+ years of being involved with this school I really feel like these teachers, parents and children are a part of my own family. And I am so grateful to be a part of this Great Beginnings family. The school itself is very clean and safe - and they have a great play yard. The children have such a great time that sometimes they don't want to leave! One reason I really love this school - and a major reason why I chose this school for my daughters - is because there are multiple rooms. I love the idea that they switch to different rooms throughout the day,(play room, art room, gym room) it provides variety and they don't get bored. I personally prefer this over the children just being stuck in one room all day, everyday. If you are looking for a great start for your child, a superb preschool education, and a safe environment with an excellent staff, Great Beginnings is the one for you!! I highly recommend it.

My daughter has been attending this school for the last 4 years. She had one year of preschool and then entered the summer camp program, then afterschool care. She has been thriving in this environment from the day she walked thru the doors. It is welcoming, nurturing and most importantly for the children it is fun! The school is alway cleans and tidy and the teachers truly care about each and every one of their kids. I have no worries while at work when my daughter is at Great Beginnings, because she is alway so happy to be there and never wants to leave. We were truly lucky to have founds such a wonderful school for our child.

My children have attended this preschool. I have to tell you they attended 2 other preschool's in the area and this by far was the best experience. This facility is clean, very well run, and when you go into the school you do not see children with runny noses. The owner of this school was educated at the #1 school in the state of North Carolina for child care educators. I grew up in North Carolina and my mother attended this school, and their reputation is exceptional. We should be so proud in Connecticut to have such a great preschool.

My daughter and son attended Great Beginnings and were very happy and well prepared for kindergarten. The staff is wonderful, thoughtful and feel as if they are part of our family. The facility is clean and all the toys are new and educational and fun. I would recommend this school to anyone!

This school is the best thing that ever happened to my daughter! she entered Kindergarten with confidence and a love for learning new things that was founded at Great Beginnings Preschool. The family events, the day trips, everything is focused on the family unit, and the healthy development of the child. I would recommend this school to any family that wants to make their child's education start off on a superior level.

My grandson goes to this preschool and we just love it! They have lots of different activities for him to do, Yoga, Art, Music etc. The facility is clean,has lots of room for the children to learn and play and the teachers are great! The teacher to student ratio is fantastic and he gets a lot of attention - I feel like they are part of our family.
