I used Schultz for many years and was totally happy. They provided good customer service and took care of all my propane needs. Last year (2015) they sold to Amerigas. FIrst thing Amerigas did was run me out of propane, charged me an extra fee to fill my empty tank, and the driver told me when the company sold almost all their drivers quit. When I called last fall to get prices they couldn't find my account info or give me a price. After 3 phone calls, no return call with price, I finally gave up and went elsewhere. When I called to tell them to pick up their tank they didn't even ask why I was switching service and when I told them, they didn't care. I'm still waiting for them to pick up their tank...

I don't even want to give one star! Terrible customer service! Go with another company if you can. We moved into a home with a Schultz tank & have been forced to use this awful company! We recently pre-paid for $500 of propane. They took over a week to deliver & the guy filled almost $900, which I did not order! I am now charged a $35 a month late fee, even while I'm making monthly payments! I called to complain & they said there's nothing I can do, even though I didn't order the extra $400 of propane. And they continue to charge late fees with payments. Total scam! Go anywhere else if you can!

Don't buy gas anywhere else without checking with Schultz in Milan and Pickney. We were buying for 2 years from Ferrllgas and they were charging us over $2.00 a gal on a contract signed in April 09 that they said we were obligated to, and charged us $49.00 to sign it. The price of gas has dropped since we signed that document, so we probably would have been paying around $2.50 a gallon. What a deal! Schultz came out, (when they said they would), installed two tanks, one for house and one for the garage, and charged $1.29 for first fill on both tanks, and $1.49 for future fills. They saved us approximately $400.00 on the first fill and probably thousands over the next few years. Not only that, Schultz offered to move the 500 gal tank sitting in the middle of our back yard, to a hidden location so we now have a nice view of the woods looking out our back yard. The other company never suggested that, would be too much work and cost for them to extend the copper line. Steve and Gary at Schultz were friendly, courteous and called before coming out to make sure we were there. They even installed a device so if one tank was running low, we could turn a valve and draw from the other tank. They offered this, I did not ask for it. This is the kind of people you want to do business with. Only wish we could find a “car” gas company that cared more for their customers than making billion dollar profits! So if you like to deal with honest and trustworthy people, who charge a reasonable price, call Schultz in Milan.
