National DME has incorrectly billed my insurance company causing a denial of a medical supply that would be covered 100% if coded correctly. Now National DME is threatening legal action despite my calling them three times and Faxing them a 3 page document. Now they say they never received my Fax. They are unwilling to correct the coding stating 'everything they provide is DME.' This is wrong! The arm immobilizer applied during heart surgery is not durable medical equipment, but similar to others medical supplies used with surgery. If National would code the product correctly then my insurance would honor my contract with them which clearly states medically necessary supplies provided as a result of out patient surgery are included in the co-payment for out patient surgery services. But they seem unwilling to do the right thing. The BBB web site shows multiple billing complaints with National DME.
