About 1 year into a 2 year time frame, I began being harassed by the office staff for extra money, outside of the $4500 charge I paid up front for my child's braces, for brackets that had come loose. Apparently, they have a policy they make you sign acknowledgment of that after 5, you will be charged $25 per "broken" bracket. Well I wasn't aware of this policy and when asked to see the paper I signed acknowledging this, they couldn't produce it...because I never saw it to sign it. I would never have agreed to this. My child has had several brackets that have come off the teeth over a 2 year period and they want to charge me $25 per bracket? How would I know they were glued on properly and I'm not being scammed for more money? At one time, there were 3 loose brackets...that would have been a surprise $75 visit, on top of the $4500 I paid up front! I can understand replacement cost for something that was lost, but $25 for them to glue the bracket back onto her tooth? Give me a break. That is part of treatment as far as I'm concerned and those things should be built into the pricing that get submitted to the insurance company, not be charged to me after the fact, nickel and dime-ing their customers. After the first conversation with the office staff about me not being aware of this practice, with no proof I was, and refusing to pay, it was brought of 3 subsequent times at other visits. They never even called me to the desk to discuss. They yelled at me across the waiting room with other customers sitting around listening. They conversations became heated and loud and I was shocked at the utter lack of professionalism showed by Dr. Marz's staff. I even asked to speak with Dr. Marz to clear up this misunderstanding, and to complain about the way I was being treated, but was refused. Dr. Marz never even comes out to talk to me after he has seen my child. The fact that these are Dr. Marz's policies and that his staff are allowed to treat his customers this way is preposterous! There are better orthodontists out there that don't try and pillage from their customers...see one of them. I wish I had, but know better for my next child needing braces.

I have 3 children that have had very difficult teeth to fix. Marz has been very patient and professional and the results show.

Beware! Dr. Marz is a general dentist that is presenting himself as an orthodontist! I was mislead and very disappointed.
