Warning to ALL home owners stay away from Marrs contracting!

Warning to ALL home owners stay away from Marrs contracting. The work that they do is way under par if even finished. I purchased my House with an FHA 203K meaning that some repairs needed to be done and could be rolled into the mortgage. There was a list of things that needed to be done and a list of things that I wanted done. All were approved by FHA. The delay in start was pushing to not have our house ready for our wedding day. (Marrs Contracting knew we were trying to get moved in before our wedding) So I spoke with the owner Marrs Contracting and setup that I would start some of the work myself so I could get things rolling. I began with things like replacing faucets and fixing a few plumbing issues, this way there was running water and I could start painting the inside of the house(painting not included in the FHA 203K I was doing that on my own). After no one showing up day 1 or 2 of the schedule I was worried. Then when work finally started it seemed that the work day started about 9am or 10 am and ended at latest by 3pm. After speaking with Marrs Contracting about this I was ensured that work would get done. Then a few days of no one showing up. The reason was that the person running my job was sick. Not acceptable to stop all work for one person being sick. Then once I was told the work was done, I naively took Marrs Contracting’s word for it and submitted to FHA to get the final payment. You know the government and how fast they work….. It took a little time and they had first sent the wrong amount. Marrs Contracting then proceeds to try to charge me for the work that I had completed and for interest because payment was not made the day work was completed. At this point I started checking al the work and found multiple things were not done or were partially done. I tried to speak with Marrs Contracting but they were completely unresponsive. So I submitted my case to BBB. Well then comes the threatening emails about putting a lean on my house and taking me to court. I don’t have the money to pay a lawyer and Marrs Contracting knows this from my time working with them on costs. Long story short they are bullies and do bad work, and to add insult to injuries they claim on all there trucks that they are a family helping families and have bible quotes on all trucks…. HUM not to Family and Christian Oriented if you ask me!
