I would recommend RESEARCHING companies VERY carefully before choosing Aquatronics. I use them to change my UV light every year on my water treatment system (won't be using them any more) but after getting a lot of water testing last year through a watershed sponsored county program, found that my arsenic was slightly high. I contacted Aquatronics and John Madden sold me on a $2,495.00 backwash system and recommended his plumber (he encouraged me to use this plumber who he stated almost exclusively installs his products) who charged an additional $750 to install. After discussing arsenic remediation online with others whose companies (NOT Aquatronics) then came back a water test, collecting the water witnessed by the homeowner, sealed and packed it for pick-up or who PAID for the owner's to get an independent water test (this insures NO conflict of interest from the remediation company and costs between $30 and $50) to be sure that their equipment is treating the water appropriately, I spoke to John Madden from Aquatronics to find out if he does this. Short answer? No. Why? He doesn't need to. While he doesn't actually "know" if the water has been remedied, he trusts what his manufacturers claim. If "I" want to pay for a water test to see if my water has been appropriately treated by his products, I can at my own expense. Needless to say this is not completing the job, not insuring products you recommend remedy your customer's problems and certainly not KNOWING whether your manufacturers products work and as we all know, not all products work - some actually fail. In fact, product failure rates are not uncommon. When I questioned him about this, all I got was a lot of superlative rhetoric about his credentials in circular logic format. Naturally, we will not longer be doing business with Aquatronics. Seriously, have you ever heard of ANY company NOT trying to find out if the work they performed fixed the problem? Well, from John Madden's mouth - Aquatronics does not think they have to.
