Their logo should be a leech in the shape of a U. This company preys on tourists. They assume you have no clue how SunPass works, they impose unnecessary insurance, etc.

I made online reservations, for which I prepaid to save a few $. When I arrived, they tried to convince me to pay for their SunPass, I have an account so I declined. Then they said that I did not have unlimited miles, even though my reservations clearly said "unlimited miles".

Lastly, they said that I had to have a $1 MILLION auto insurance coverage, otherwise I would have to buy theirs. I was renting an economy car, probably not worth more than $5,000 on a good day! Further, common sense dictates that drivers who can afford a $1 million auto insurance coverage are not renting an economy car from this s---hole agency, so I assume they screw everyone with this hidden fee. ... I cut my losses and walked away from my prepaid rental.

I contacted CarRentals.com, (the website through which I found U-Save) to inform them of U-Save's behavior. As it turns out, CarRentals supports U-Save's shady business practices. To me that was shocking. I have now contacted Expedia Group, the parent company to CarRentals via US mail, which is the only available contact option!

I have also brought this to the attention of the State of Florida and encourage you to do the same if this review sounds familiar.

You may file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office online at www.myfloridalegal.com or by phone at 1-866-9-NO-SCAM. Additionally, you may file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov/complaint, and with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org.

You may also file a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which acts as the State's consumer complaint clearinghouse, at www.floridaconsumerhelp.com.

Stay away from U-Save and CarRentals.com. Don't prepay. Lastly, if you have been duped, report them. Sooner or later, they'll get caught.

I cannot say enough bad things about U-Save... But I’m going to leave a bad review for every day over 14 days that they don’t give me my security deposit back. They told me, no worries, I’ll have my $250 back in 14 days. It’s been 17 and I don’t trust them. They were rude, slow, unresponsive to my inquiries and added on extra fees for everything under the sun. They are off-site from the airport and a total hassle. Do not rent from them.

I rented out a car from them on April 8, 2018 and returned it on April 12. They asked for a deposit of $1,000. The worst happened when I returned the car. The inspection person inspected the car and said to me everything is fine, I saw him putting "Damage to Vehicle on Return" -- He put YES. I asked them why yes when there is no damage to the car. He mentioned me relax it happened by mistake. I said ok. When I went inside to the person handling customers I asked him 10 times if there is any other charge I need to pay. He said No, Everything is OK in your car. Minutes later, I get an email from them in which it was stated that there is a damage to the car upon return. I didn't even reach airport when I got this email. I immediately returned back to their warehouse and inquired about it. Their behavior with me was super rude which made my believe that this is a fraud happening at U-SAVE CAR RENTAL, MIAMI. They had taken $1,000.00 deposit and now with this email they can deduct whatever amount they want. I inquired further about it and the person started getting racist and gave me racist remarks and told me to call whomsoever I want. I dialed 911 and called police. The police came and listened the story from all the parties. This company person was rude to the police as well. Finally, they admitted that it was a fault at their end. Imagine, my flight was late and I had this much time in my hand that I could go back and inquire about it. I believe they are doing a fraud with the customers' security deposit. I wish that platforms like TripAdvisor, go through these reviews and take them seriously. So that the customers finding their platform to find out car renting services should not have bad experience and come back to their site again for good experiences. I have all the proofs with me and if they don't refund my amount within specific time, I would be left with no other option except to seek help from Better Business Protection.
