Rockway Middle School is a more than 145,000-square-foot building located in Miami. It has an enrollment of over 1,300 students in grades six through eight. Established in 1959, the school features nearly 55 classrooms and approximately 1,000 student stations. Its National Junior Honor Society promotes leadership skills and organizes various community projects. Rockway Middle School s student council conducts fundraisers to support social causes. The school also operates journalism, book, chess and computer clubs. It additionally offers an array of sports programs, such as cross country, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, track and field, football, softball, tennis and bowling. Rockway Middle School is a part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
