Romer sold me a car without a Title and never did the tag transfer even though it was part of the deal. He also sold me a broken car. On May 1, 2014 I walked into James Romer Motors. Romer worked at a car dealership in Aventura I was at the time working at and, opened his own dealership. I use to send people over to him for business. So when I sold my car and needed a replacement vehicle I came to him looking for a good deal. Worst mistake I could of ever made. My wants and needs was a Honda with less then 100k miles that was in very good condition. He told me that a 2000 Honda Prelude that his companion had was in perfect condition. Even though it was over the miles I planned he told me the car was in perfect condition and, that if anything was wrong with it he would take it upon himself to fix it. While delivering the car I heard terrible noises coming from the car. I told him I did not pay for this and I would not take it. He told me that he was going to fix it and to not worry about it. He said, he was going to fix the a/c, power-steering and radio. Well his mechanic Henry that I found out is not a licensed mechanic, took my car. Before taking my car I put new tires on it and gave it an oil change and even a tune-up. Henry took my car for 3 weeks when he returned the car to me he was drunk, had crashed the hood, had drifted the car till the threads came out of the tires and added 3000 extra miles on it. Romer during the time of Henry returning me the car said when asked how long did this work have warranty Romer replied "For Life or until I die." My mother and I told him to be serious and he and Henry replied "I am Serious that is the way I do Business." And to top it of the car broke down on me 2 days after he delivered it to me. However after the car broke down I told him I DID NOT want Henry to touch my car due to the conditions he delivered it on. Romer told me, "I am taking it to the Honda." After that I did not have my car for 2 weeks when it was returned to me, it stank like dog had over 400 miles added and broke down the next day. Later I found out he had returned my car to Henry. Not wanting to deal with him anymore I paid mechanics they told me that whoever was working on my car took off the timing belt balancer because it was missing; along with millions of other symptoms. 3 months with a broken car I still had no title. Romer kept ignoring my calls and texts so I showed up at his business asking for the title while driving a rent-a-car. He started screaming and insulting me then, told me to check the post office or tag agency because he had sent it already. I did all of that and the tag agency told me he never got it made and to go to the DMV and file a complaint because, he might have his dealer license suspended. I called him and told him that and, he still said, "I already sent out your title!" So I went to the DMV to pay for my title. The DMV told me that since it was in the Bill of Sale the only thing I could do is file a complaint. After I did that Romer called me screaming and insulting me again asking why I filed a complaint, to go to his dealer and pick up the title. I found a ride who could take me there and when I showed up he gave me a title that didn't have my name nor his name. I told him, "Romer what is this? This title doesn't even have my name?" He started yelling and insulting me then kicked me out of his dealership. After buying the car $4000.00 cash and spending $2000.00 on mechanics within 2 months, I still have the car broken down in front of my house. The worst part is that I never even really got to drive the car not even a full week. He does not deserve to have a dealer license. James Romer Motors has to be closed down! That is a HORRIBLE business!
