AIDS Walk Miami is a fundraising event organized by Care Resource, which is a nonprofit, multicultural, community-based HIV/AIDS service organization. It conducts more than 7,000 HIV tests every year. The organization serves the men, women and youths of Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida. Care Resource operates an evaluation services unit that offers technical assistance to program managers. It maintains SoBe Thrifty, which is a store that sells merchandise at discounted prices. The organization is funded by individuals, foundations and government agencies.
