I have been playing the cello for 40 years.  I went to high school an Interlochen Arts Academy as a cello Voice major, studying under Denis Brott and Crispin Campbell ( I am still connected with Cris, in case your chyild is interested in IAA). I studie at University of Iowa under Charles Wendt and James Dixon, and baroque performance praccice with Sven hansell.  I recieved a Rotary International Scholarship to study at the Wienna Hocchscule fur Musik, where I took master classes with Andre Navarra and Angelica mai, and studied intesively under Susan lamb Cook. I was principal cellist with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra for 10 years, and had a private cello studio of 20 students.  All of my students continued in music, and many continued in cello.

I offer instruction to all ages.  My methodology is basically Europoean, highly disciplined, with some Suzuki repertoire.
