I love The Metuchen Inn. My husband and I have been going there for quite a few years. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is always impeccable and the food is great.

Avoid for special events. I had my wedding reception here in September and had a contract including live music, which the owner did not arrange until we reminded him of the contract two days before the reception. It turned out sort of ok, but not the jazz trio we were expecting. We were also promised that we would have the main floor for our party until closing, but they booked another party who came in and started setting up as we were still eating. There was also a disagreement between the contract and the acutal billilng which turned very ugly as the partner we had dealt with claimed to not remember what we had agreed to and the other partner claimed that he would never have agreed to the arrangement. All in all, a less-than-perfect end to my wedding day. The food was good, but I will never go there again because of the way we were treated.
