I have been going to Caswell for 23 years ..
The staff has been excellent .The training for CCW through Tactical Low Light , Simulation,Advanced courses .In addition I have recommended Caswell to females wife as well as friends wives .

When Reading Reviews .Please concider the Negative reviews are OFTEN posted by very young or beginner and novice firearms persons .

I can give you MANY MANY additional reasons why I appreciate Caswell .I will end with THIS ...

My wife and I have shot as Caswells several times and have also taken their ccw course. We have always found the staff friendly and attentive. We usually go on "ladies day" So we only have to pay one shooters fee and get a free rental gun. They require that you use their ammo in their guns which seems more than reasonable. The range masters are firm but always polite and courteous,safety is always the top concern. Shooting is never cheap and this is a great place to go. especially in AZ in the summer.

This place is asinine sometimes.They had a sale on 9mm ammo.I purchased 6 hundred rounds.A friend used their Glock rental and we used about 2 hundred rounds.We came back with the same ammo purchased from them five months later to go shooting with a rental .The idiot at the counter wanted me the purchase more ammo for their rental.I explained that the ammo Ihave was from them.What was the purpose of saving money on a bulk purchase if they won't let you use it on their rental.Idiotic!

Went into do a short target session with my Glock 17 and IO Hellcat .380. I have never been there and do not know anyone from Caswell. They were fairly busy for a Friday after noon. Within 1-2 minutes a guy asked if he could help me, 2 minutes later I had my targets and lane assignment. They only charged me for the targets I used and $15.00. While I paid I over heard some first time shooters that were trying out guns getting advice from the staff, they sounded knowledgeable and helpful. I am not sure what the issue other reviewers have had, I plan on going again and would recommend this range to others. The guy checking me out also commented on how much they liked my Colorado Avs shirt (not really). Again I do know any one from this range and cannot comment on pricing although every range and shop I have been in in the last 2+ years seems to have increased prices. Supply and demand. I would give 5 stars but I do not give 5 stars to anyone.

The only one that was nice to me was the lady up at the desk. First time there and I told her " its been along time for me to shoot". She told me that some one in side would be there to help me...NOT! I thank God I knew how to hold the gun with both hands and be ready for a kick on it when I shot.. I went through 50 rounds and no one came to ask me if I needed any help. its small and not what I hope for..Oh and if your looking for it any way you will have to find it in a area where they have industerial buildings on the conner...

The wost time I ever spent shooting guns. To make madders worst this is the first time i shot my gun too. The people at the register are really rude and to make madders worse i had a gun in the gun range and the guy was bitching to me the whole time im 23 i dont need to be told what to do every five seconds and he was really trying to fight with me. I had a gun of course so me and my brother were calmy talking to the guy it really wasn;t worth it. and they charged me and my brother even though we only used 1 booth and we only were there for 30 min. I recommend if you go, get there early and get your own booth, Honestly i recommend anywhere but here but if you have to good luck. Worst time i ever had at the range -5 stars oh yeah one of the guys was saying thx to the guy that was bitching to me the whole time when he left. Bunch of racist people if your mexican, for dam sure dont go there.

Caswells is an awesome facility! great guns and great prices. The indoor range is automated so attatch your target set the range and your off. For ladies it's a great way to tryout alot of guns before you buy your first one. It is expensive to shoot without a membership. Your required to rent at 15.00 an hr for your lane want to rent a gun $7.00 but you can swap out the gun as much as you want for that $7.00 so try out as many as you can. without a membership they want you to buy their ammo at market value which obviously changes from day to day. They want nonsteel ammo for safety reasons which I respect. They have alot of classes available. They have an very friendly staff. typically if you baught 2 boxes of 9mm at 20 bucks rented a lane and a gun and only stayed one hr but tried out 10 pistols of that caliber you could leave there less than 70.00 spent. very clean very safe. I prefer long range rifle shooting. this is not the place for it. they offer a gunsmith service but honestly I know 2 people that waited over 2months for their guns to get repaired and left with their guns still broke because he hadn't got to them yet and didn't return phone calls. so their gunsmith has issues and needs to go. because he brings down the stores overall reputation for quality service.

Everything about this place is diappointing. I really do not know what is worse, the ammo prices or the 20% more they wanted for a pistol I wanted. The customer service was horrible, once i finally got some. Hands down the worst gun store in Phoenix.

My wife and I have been to Caswells 3 times and we really enjoyed our visits. It is a busy palce, but so are good resturants. What I mean is, if the service is poor then the place wouldn't be busy ! If you are a little patient the counter folks will take care of you. Jackie is great and works her A-- off to make sure everone is taken care of and enjoys themselves. Brian was great and took the time to help me with some holster questions even thought the place was packed.So if you want to enjoy yourself at a shooting range try Caswells!!

Can't take an appointment. Unorganized, constantly have to check to see if membership discounts have been applied. More expensive than Scottsdale Gun Club.
