- Calema offers instruction and rentals in Windsurfing, Kayaking, Sailing and Stand-up paddling (SUP). We also have a retail shop with packages designed for the individual sailing conditions and skill level. In summer - we offer Kid's camps for ages 8-17 in windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and watersports (all three sports and river exploration). We have beginner and performance clinics in windsurfing in the fall and spring - 2 and 3 day clinics. Calema is located inside Kelly Park - on the Banana River - so no need to transport any gear. It is all rigged and ready on the shore. Rentals in windsurfing are for 3hours or full day. Kayaks & SUP are available by the hour / 3hours / full day. We are the only operation in Brevard that lets you rent a kayak/SUP and explore on your own - no need to go with a group - you set the pace, the destination and the time you want to go. Calema has been in operation since 1984 and is led by Master Instructor for US Sailing - Tinho Dornellas and his wife, Susie Dornellas. Tinho is also the designer of Squid Designs - custom SUP boards for waves, racing and speardiving. - Calema is located inside the 13 acre waterfront park - Kelly Park in Merritt Island. Just a short drive from Orlando international airport and the many resorts of Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. The park has restrooms, pavillions, a children's playground and fresh water showers in addition to the grassy launching area of the park and shallow warm waters of the Banana River. Kelly Park is a great place for a family picnic and Calema can provide the recreation to get everyone on the water.
