The Augusta Curtis Cultural Centers, Inc, is a newer organization with a long history.Formed in September 2000, it occupies the century-old marble Greek Revival Curtis Memorial building, located in the center of Meriden across from City hall. The Building not only housed in the city's first public library, but it is also an example of local philanthropy.The Curtis Cultural Center is dedicated to the cultivation exploration of diverse avenues of culture, the arts, humanities and sciences in the Connecticut community.
