Welcome to the NEW home of the Cardinal youth tackle football league AS a current member of the great lakes youth football league. The Cardinal youth tackle football league mission is to promote the development of leadership. Sportsmanship. Character. And athletic ability while nurturing youth fitness. Volunteerism, a lifelong love of sport and shall serve AS a feeder system to the mentor middle schools and high school football and cheerleading programs. PARTICPATING cities include Chardon. Willoughby. Wickliffe. Willoughby hills. Painesville (Riverside). Eastlake. Willowick. And Kirtland. 3 DIVISIONS •A division: 10 & 11 year olds (cannot BE 12 before june 2ND) MAX weight: 155LBS •B division: 8 & 9 year olds (cannot BE 10 before june 2ND) MAX weight: 135LBS •C division: 6½ & 7 year olds (cannot BE 8 before june 2ND. But must BE 7 by november 1ST) MAX weight: 125LBS •ALL players CAN play offense and defense during the same game to allow development of skills equally. •special division for 7 YR olds only to give full opportunity to learn tackle football safely.
