I agree with the other poor reviews same experience to keep this short. Very unprofessional counter staff.

This office needs to have professional guidance on how to serve the elderly and disabled who use their services. They are understaffed, and have NO SUPERVISION. They run around unorganized, talk as they walk without making sure the client understands directions. I waited for 90 minutes before getting a technician to draw blood. The gal at the front counter never made eye contact until I stopped her and asked he to look at me and tell me where I was to go (I am sure she probably had her own ideas). Any public business operating in such a manner would be broke within the month. I asked for a supervisor, and was told he wasn't in. That was after 2/3 of the crew came back from lunch and began to service all rooms that were still full of waiting elders (some in very poor condition). I will instruct my doctor to NEVER send me back here again, and will refuse to use Ques for anything.

I found the phlebotomist friendly, courteous and very professional. The office itself was another story! First, I walked in the door and up to the counter. The receptionist did not look up or acknowledge my presence, except that she reached for a clip board and plopped it down on the counter in front of me. That was apparently my cue to sign in. Once I finished signing in, I looked at her, thinking I was to provide ID, insurance info, and doctor's order. After a few moments of more awkward silence, she looked up and told me to have a seat. I asked about my paperwork, and she then let me know that she would ask for it later (this was the longest sentence I got out of her so far). Once they were ready to call me in, another gal opened the door and announced my name (last name only . . . . no Mister preceded it). I proceeded through the door, was abruptly given a piece of paper with a number written on it, and was told to visibly display it. I took the paper, stood there for a moment waiting for her to direct me as to where to go next (there were several rooms and partitions). It didn't happen and I had to ask (by this time she had already moved on to her next task). She redirected her attention toward me and told me to go behind the glass door. I did, and found another waiting room for stage 2 of my wait. Soon that waiting room began to fill up with people holding a piece of paper similar to mine. After a wait, another gal came in and pointed to various people (me being one of them) saying "you go to room 1, you go to room 3, and you go to room 5". She then left us to figure out where that was. We were definitely just part of the herd they were managing that day. We weren't patients or customers ... at least not valued ones. I know they are busy, but I'm concerned when we pay dearly for medical care and get such poor and thoughtless customer service. This lab is new to our medical provider, so I'm guessing they won out over their former vendor by undercutting costs. It shows. I contrast this experience with when I take my elderly in-laws to their Kaiser appointments. Whether in the lab, urgent care, or with their personal physician, the check-in is friendly, organized, and very professional. Every person they encounter takes the time to engage them with a smile and a "hello". As the receptionist takes their information, he/she writes a brief description of what they look like and what they are wearing. When it's time to call them into the lab or doctor's office, an employee enters the waiting room, identifies them visually, comes directly to them, calls them by name, and escorts them to where they need to go. . . providing assistance if necessary. What a difference!
