Whatever happened to customer service? Getting an eye exam, settling on a perscription, getting your glasses and being able to walk out and actually "see" correctly used to be easy, fast, and satisfying. I need to be able to see correctly without having to deal with disinterested people. I need to see properly to do my job--dime-store magnifiers do not help or work. I pay cash, so that means I do not count as a real customer deserving of being able to get my perscription so I can do my work? I never take days off work, but I took a day off--first in over 20 years(that is not hyperbole)--drove 55 miles and still didn't get what I needed so I can do my job. Giving someone a compliment isn't a bad thing, but it sure seems that in Memphis and the midsouth common courtesy is a thing of the past.
