Terrible customer service! This store has gone down hill so much since they moved. I came in for an estimate on a worsening problem with a Singer embroidery machine which was initially purchased from them. The repairman took for granted I was leaving the machine there and began emptying all the bobbins and tools. Just handed them to me in a bag. His attitude was condescending, the other staff might come help me with accessories if they happened to return to the lobby and pause their conversations. There were two other customers in the store so they were not busy on a Saturday afternoon and I see why. I did not leave my expensive machine with them as I had no confidence given their brusk attitude. If I ever go back it will only be for supplies.

I brought my machine home, and the feed dogs would not lower, and they do not pull the fabric through at an even rate. I mentioned this when I took it in. I was told that nothing was wrong with the feed dogs, just lint that had built up. I had this trouble before, and it took 2 trips to fix it then. I was charged for a machine that was not fixed. It was cleaned, but not repaired.

I have been using Shappley's for all my sewing needs for years. Their customer service is exceptional and they are most helpful when I have made inquiries. I have purchased two excellent machines from them and they service my other machines with a smile and expertise quickly. I highly recommend them. Donna Neveu

Had a question about my vacuum that wasn't working properly. A super nice lady answered my questions professionally and was so cheerful. She didn't rush to get off the phone when she found out I wouldn't be coming in to purchase or bring in a vacuum for repair. It is SO wonderful to have great customer service. I am a future customer!
