I had a tattoo retouched by Shannon back in May, 2009. Originally, I had made a phone call with them in 2007 after I had done some research to find out who was the best tattoo artist in Memphis. At that time I thought I could get an appointment right away, but was shocked when I was told that their next available appointment wouldn't be until six months later. Of course, I didn't want to wait that long, and so I asked them if they could recommend me a local tattoo shop to get my tattoo retouched. They generously gave me a couple names for future reference and they kept saying sorry that they really couldn't get me in. Yes, I was not patient, so the result was that I wasn't really pleased because I chose one of the other local shops to get my retouch job and the artist didn't really listen to what I wanted. In winter 2008 I decided to call Ramesses Shadow again, and of course same as the year before, I was told my appointment would be a wait of at least half a year. I decided to be patient this time. After all, a tattoo is gonna stay on my body for the rest of my life, I want to really like it and get it professionally done.

Finally, I got my tattoo redone, and I am really really pleased and feel relief. Not only because of the skill of Shannon, but also how patient and caring he makes me feel even after when I called worried about my skin peeling, he took time to explain and give advice. Best tattoo artist shop in town, it deserves its reputation.

Kevin is a expert in custom pieces and coverups. Did a great job on my peice-- looks like a million dollar painting!

VERY VERY Long waiting list-- up to a year-- I had to wait 9 months!

Cost is expensive as one would expect with the talent and quality-- $150 an hour without tips!!!!!!!!



For the money and wait-- if you have a truly unique piece that you want the best-- Kevin and Shannon are the best.

I would recommend these guys to anyone. Several friends and I have gotten tattoos here. I have had these tattoos for years and they still get amazing compliments. I will never regret letting Kevin design and do my tattoo! Ask for Kevin he is an incredibly nice guy and a fantastic artist!
